Handmade Moustache Combs
Our handmade moustache combs are hand crafted and made in Canberra from either walnut, mahogany or red oak wood. They require very little maintenance and will improve with use. Ideally clean with a soft cloth. When the comb is wet pat the comb dry and let air until fully dry.
First and Foremost, Be Patient
A truly epic moustache is the product of self-restraint and regular grooming using our handmade moustache combs. When you first start growing, resist the urge to trim or style, wait until the hair starts to over run your top lip. You may then need to keep it trimmed and tidy. This will allow the hairs to grow in evenly (some grow faster than others), and help you pick a style that suits its length and thickness.
This is especially important in the early stages of growth, when trapped food and skin cells can exacerbate the itchiness. Scrub your moustache once a week with a specialised cleanser or buff then gently pat it dry. An overzealous towelling can lead to frizz and split ends. You can then comb your moustache with our handmade moustache combs.
Train Your Beard
A regular trim will maintain your chosen shape, but it’s not the only way to keep your moustache in line. A daily comb will wrangle stubborn hairs, training them to grow in a downward direction. You can even up the ante with a soft-hold styler, including our Hippie Beard Balm or a wax which can lend some extra sculpting power while taming any flyways. You can also use a beard oil to help condition if that’s your preference.
You can’t build a house without bricks, and the same applies to facial hair. Your moustache is made from protein and fat, but it’s also heavily reliant on Vitamins B5, B3, and B9. That means lean meats, nuts, egg yolks, milk, and plenty of leafy greens.
